When you’re nestled in at Alaska Sea Bright, you have countless activities out your front door. You can reserve our local guide to take you on a custom wilderness tour, or use our friends at Mako’s Water Taxi to take a short trip by boat to a state parks hiking trail that leads to Grewingk Glacier.  Approximately 1 mile you will reach Grewingk Glacier, where you will see huge walls of ice and a lake. Many folks like to make this a day trip and bring their lunch to enjoy at the lake.

Another popular trip is to scenic Halibut Cove.  About 100 residents in summer live in houses built over the water.  This was originally a fishing community and has now become the home of many artists who sell their art there.  Diana Tillion was the matriarch here and she was the first person to paint with octopus sepia gathered nearby.  There is a studio where you can see her art and venture along the boardwalks.

“Just a quick boat ride from the Spit in Homer, lies a peaceful home surrounded by unspoiled land with unbelievable views of China Poot Bay.
